Slidell Fire Stations Collecting Food Donations for Oklahoma Tornado Victims

Slidell, LA. – On Friday May 24, 2013 St. Tammany Fire District #1 will begin
collecting non-perishable food donations (including pet food) at all of its
fire stations for the victims of the tornado that touched down on Monday,
May 20, 2013 in Moore, OK.  We will not be collecting clothing, office supplies,
or any other materials besides food.  Each of the fire district’s seven fire
stations will have boxes set up to receive the non-perishable food donations.
Friday, June 7, 2013 will be the last day that we will be collecting the
donations.  On Saturday, June 8, 2013 we will be transporting the donated
food to Journey Church in Norman, Oklahoma for distribution to the affected
residents.  We are asking for the public’s help in supporting the victims of
this terrible tragedy by dropping off non-perishable food items at any of our
seven fire stations located throughout the Slidell area.  The following is a
list of addresses for the fire stations:

Station 12 – 1570 West Hall Ave.
Station 13 – 101 Normandy Dr.
Station 14 – 297 Steele Rd.
Station 15 – 58405 Holly Dr.
Station 16 – 320 Marina Dr.
Station 17 – 850 Brownswitch Rd.
