Battalion Chief David Smith and his service to our community will be honored on Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 with a full honors funeral.
A visitation open to the public will start 10:30am at Northshore Church, 310 Kensington Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458 (next to Rouses Grocery Store). Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon.
At approximately 1:00-1:30pm, a driving procession to Honaker Funeral Home for the burial services at Forest Lawn Cemetery will begin. The driving procession will, in addition to District 1 personnel and vehicles, include representatives of many local emergency services agencies and various support organizations. As the normal flow of traffic on Gause Blvd. will be interrupted during the procession we appreciate the community’s patience as we pay our final respects to Battalion Chief Smith.
The public is welcome to attend the Services, the Funeral and to join the driving procession (you will be asked to follow the organizations represented)
