All Hazards 1001 – Citizens Academy Wrapup

St. Tammany Fire District #1 would like to thank everyone that attended the final day of our “All Hazards 1001” Citizens Academy this morning.  We would like to congratulate the members of our community that graduated from the program today.  Those members are Rene Arcemont (pic 1), Joe DiGiovanni (pic 2), A.J. Delaup (pic 3), Jimmy Herod (pic 4) and Ed Ford (pic 5).  For those who were unable to attend, I have attached several pictures for you to review.  The pictures show the participants using extrication tools to cut on a car, crawling through a maze in the training tower, and putting out a fire in the burn building.  We will also be posting today’s videos to our YouTube channel next week.

This is the seventh month in a row that we have done a public demonstration highlighting the many services and level of training our members provide to the community.  Fire Chief Chris Kaufmann remains committed to the Department’s Public Campaign to better educate our community on all the services our Fire Department provides.  To see any of our past demonstrations, please visit our website at www.slidellfire.org and click on the YouTube icon near the top right hand side of the page under forms & surveys.

If you have any questions about today’s Citizens Academy drills or the department, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thank you for your continued support of our Fire Department!

Sincerely,

Chad A. Duffaut
