Slidell Fire Department has First Hurricane Preparedness Meeting of 2014
Slidell LA. – In preparation of the 2014 Hurricane season starting June 1, St. Tammany Fire District #1 held its first Hurricane Preparedness meeting. National Weather Service Meteorologist in Charge Ken Graham gave a presentation to members of the department to help them prepare for the upcoming 2014 Hurricane season.
The meeting was an overview of the department’s current Hurricane policies, procedures, and command structure. It will help ensure that the department is ready and able to provide vital emergency services to the community.
