Abandoned House Destroyed by Fire
Slidell, LA. – St. Tammany Fire District #1 responded to the report of a structure fire at 60516 Dixie Ranch Rd. in Slidell. Firefighters arrived on the scene in just under 7 minutes to find a 2000 square foot home fully involved with fire. Firefighters set up a defensive attack and were able to bring the fire under control within 18 minutes of arriving on the scene.
The fire was reported by a man who had apparently been living in the house while it was being renovated. The abandoned home was totally destroyed by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
