Residential Structure Fire at 246 Bluebird Dr.
Slidell, LA.-St. Tammany Fire District#1 responded to a residential
structure fire at 246 Bluebird Dr. in the Audubon subdivision in Slidell.
Firefighters arrived on the scene in a little over 3 minutes to find
smoke showing from a 1500 square foot single story residence.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 10 minutes of
arriving on the scene.
The homeowner was watching television in his bedroom when he heard a
popping sound and discovered a fire in the kitchen on the stove. He
attempted to extinguish the fire and then safely evacuated the home.
The residence received light fire damage to the kitchen and light smoke
damage throughout the rest of the house. The blaze was caused by a
frying pan that was left on the stove. No injuries were reported.
