Residential Structure Fire at 62441 John Smith Rd.
Slidell, LA.-St. Tammany Fire District#1 responded to a residential structure fire at 62441 John Smith Rd., in less than 6 minutes firefighters arrived on the scene to find smoke and flames showing from the roof of an 1800 square foot single story residence. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 17 minutes of arriving on the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. No one was home at the time of the fire. The fire was discovered by a friend of the owner. No injuries were reported.
