Fire Damages Two Story Home

 

Slidell, LA. – St. Tammany Fire District #1 responded to the report of a structure fire at 4307 Sandy Ln. in the Belair subdivision in Slidell. Firefighters arrived on the scene in 10 minutes to find a 2600 square foot home with flames and smoke coming from the rear of the structure. Firefighters made an aggressive interior and exterior attack and were able to bring the fire under control within 16 minutes of arriving on the scene.

The fire was reported by a neighbor, who called 911, after noticing smoke coming from the rear of the home. Firefighters were able to contain most of the fire to a downstairs bedroom. The fire heavily damaged a downstairs bedroom and there was heavy smoke damage throughout the rest of the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
