On June 25, 2013, St. Tammany Fire District #1,
Fire Chief Larry Hess states the following:
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of
the Constitution and R.S. 47:1705 (B) that a public hearing of the
Board of Commissioners of the St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1
will be held at the regular meeting place, 5th floor of the Towers
Building located at 520 Old Spanish Trail, Slidell, Louisiana 70458 on
Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. to consider levying additional or
increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the
adjusted millage rate and rolling forward to a millage rate not to exceed
the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be
collected in the next year from the increased millage is $15,471,651.00
and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase
is $2,100,099.00.
